How is it that a specialist can charge $170 just for the consult?!? We already know what's wrong with Chubbs' eyes (one is worse than the other.)
The eyedrops our regular vet gave us has helped ALOT. I don't mind paying but up front? The specialist has no payment plan. The only other option
they have is to help you apply for a Wells Fargo credit card. Is this insane or am I?!?

Can you do Care Credit? Just google "care credit vet" and it's the first link that comes up. I've heard it's a wonderful option.

Thanks! I've looked at almost all of them last night. I must be missing something because most of them seem to be only for clinics & shelters. The few for individuals require a lot of info that I didn't think of, ie. w4, last pay stubs, people in household. Anyway, thanks again!

Not sure if we can do care credit. We'll have to look at the fine print. Thanks for the suggestion!

I agree with you. But because they are specialists...they charge more. Jewel's initial Ortho consult was $150.
