My partner was on FB last night while I was driving home and noticed a posting on the Newfield police department page that a Frenchie & EB went missing. Newfield is a small town practically in my backyard. I said to myself if they are still missing in the AM (today) I'll call the owner and go help them look. When my boxer ran away (when I was living in PA) everyone at my job helped me look for her and I remember how uplifting it was that people wanted to help me, I had to return the favor.

I prayed these two would be found or find their way home asap. Much to my dismay, they were found yesterday afternoon, they had drowned in the neighbors pool. I was heart broken. How did they get into the pool??????? If an two dogs can get to it a small child could, too. I'm praying the neighbor fixes this problem quickly so nothing else happens. I sent the owner my sympathy in a message. I can't even imagine what she's going through.

Please say a prayer for her, Jeepers (the FB) and Suki (the EB) and their Mom, Kim.

God bless them during this horrible time.

Aww... that is sooo sad... and unnecessary. *sigh*

stacyhynum They were found, they drowned in the neighbors pool.....

Praying for the family of those fur babies and your right if two dogs can get in to the pool then so could children....We will definitely keep them in our prayers

That is terrible. Especially since it is something that cold have easily been prevented with the proper protection put in place around the pool.

This is so incredibly sad, so sorry for the owners of Jeepers and Suki, and the loss of their precious babies. I can't even imagine what they are going through. This is so tragic and you're right, if two dogs can get into the neighbours backyard, and drown, then it would be very easy for a child to enter the backyard and maybe drown as well. The neighbours should definitely secure their pool and backyard better to make it safe for the neighbourhood. Sending hugs and prayers to the family of Jeepers and Suki, and may those sweet babies RIP.

That is heartbreaking. Sending prayers and hugs to the family. Something needs to be done there...so easily could have been a child, too!

That is so sad. I couldn't even imagine the pain of losing your pet like this..

What a tragedy, and so avoidable.... Heartbreaking. :*(

OH that's horrible. Will be praying for them. What a tragedy :( This is such a fear of mine, with kids and dogs, which is why I have a gate around my pool and keep it locked if no one is in it. That poor family.
