Wishful thinking but whoever bought the pug returns it to the owner.

HOLY COW!!! That is awful...

What a shame! Disgusting! Pets are not property!
P.s. They were able to do this probably because Germany is a gun-free country :w00t: in America they would be met with gun!

Unfortunately, i could be wrong but in the US I think pets are also considered property , but you are right... I might pull out Lewis’ gun if anyone attempted to take one of my babies—- momma grizzly bear would appear

You are correct. Even though we consider them family, the law dictates pets as just property. But I don’t think anyone can take them away and sell them to clear a debt.

I believe end of 2018 California introduced a new law, after it in case of divorce judge with rule not only who gets custody of kids, but also pets. California is quite advanced in this question.

Well, California had 1 good idea!

OH HELL NO!! They would NOT be getting my Ellie, SEND me to Jail....

Unfortunately here to a dog is a property. Part of the furniture as we say.

Sadly it said an officer purchased the pug of an Ebay site action and later sued due to the condition the poor pup was in. She was angry it wasn't disclosed that the pup was a senior with some health problems. The whole situation is heart breaking.
