Need some help from any of you with cats...

I ask this question on the "other pets" area, but no answers. So thought I'd ask where hopefully more of you will see it. My daughter-in-law has a cat who sheds profusely. I ask her what she feeds her, since I've learned to feed my dogs well and they don't shed. She said she gets Friskies at the grocery store. I figured that's not very good. I know nothing about cats, but I figured some of you would have cats and could advise us as to what to feed her kittie that would be a good quality food. So anyone's help would be greatly appreciated!! THANKS!

All of the good dog food manufactuers ALSO make kitty kibble- So she can probably go by our list of dog food ratings, but look at the same high quality brands in cat foods:

I know they say Avoderm helps alot with shedding in pups, they make cat food too and I assume it would work for cats as well.

No cats here but one of my friends feeds canidae feline and loves it. I agree, go with the dog food reviews and go with the cat food they make.

My felines just changed to Avoderm a month ago - less hair shedding, less hairballs, less stinky litter boxes - win, win, win!

Thanks, I'll tell her to try Avoderm. Anything should be an improvement on Friskies.

I have three cats and they all eat Wellness. I feed Wellness to my cats and my dogs. It has made a big difference in the look of their coats.
