Hey, everybody! My name is Mamie. I am a 5 year old, 40 pound wiggly ball of love.
I started life in a puppy mill, but was rescued a few months ago and am looking for a forever home to call my own. Now, I have some special needs, but I am such a good girl about helping you with them. I take allergy medicine and need eyedrops for my dry eyes. Plus, I am a little leaky. The vet told my foster family that I have something called sacrocaudal dysgenesis which means that something didnt form correctly in my nervous system, so it doesnt do a good job of telling me when it is time to go pee. I have to wear diapers to make sure I dont leak around the house, but I will let you know when I need to go outside for a number 2!
I love my people! And I love being in the house. I love both so much that I am a really good girl when you put my diapers on me. I am very cooperative because I want to spend time with you! I love my toys. I love to play fetch with my foster dad. He throws my stuffed hippo across the living room and Ill keep bringing it back to him until I feel like I might want to take a nap. I get along great with my 3 foster sisters, and I love to play with them too. I havent been in a home with kids yet, but my foster family thinks my sweet nature would be fine with kids who are bigger than me. So yes, I am a special girl with some special needs. But did I mention I was a special girl? If youd like to love me forever in your home, Id like to love you back!
