Ok guys- we got some vests at petsmart yesterday, but I don't like them. The straps loosen up after a bit, they really don't help her keep their head up, and they are "top" supported, I'd like something more "all over" supported.

Here's a pic of them yesterday with the ones from pet smart.

Corine Pesantes Here is the vest that I think is the best one I have seen. It is by Outward Hound. The ones you got at PetSmart look about useless. The O H vest has the "pillow" that holds their head up,too. Just my opinion! outward-hound-pet-saver-life-jacket-orange.jpg

We use Ruffwear and love it. Got it on Amazon. This is their picture not mine.

Following this thread. We will be looking for one in a few weeks as it will be boating/lake/pool season around here.

Thanks guys! Going to go to another local pet store tomorrow. If they don't have any of the ones suggested, I'll be ordering from chewy or Amazon. I'll keep u all updates!

You're right bring them back not really safe those ones. Nyala has aussi natural But I was at Winners today or you guys in US calls it Marshall and saw Body Glove. Really good one for $24! And yes they had others that are good brands

NEW VESTS CAME IN!!

I ended up going with the Outward Hound brand and ordered them from Chewy ($25 for XL, $17 for L- cheaper than the $70 I paid for the crappy ones at Pet Smart- they did accept my return even after they used them at the lake though). I followed the reviews and went a size larger for each dog. They are a little long, but otherwise fit great. We will be trying them out tomorrow at the lake, but they seem much more secure, velcros around the belly, has Velcro floaty under their head with a snap clasp, and just seems more secure overall. They are also the brand that my vet has at his pet resort for the pool there.
