How old is Ellie? i tagged a few members that may have insight, but I'm wondering if it is the start of her heat cycle or a UTI ??

She is just 5mos today, hoping its NOT a UTI, shes not showing any signs, as she already had one of those, going to get some test strips later, and will get a sample to the Vet as soon as can a sterile container...

yeast infection just came to mind .... :ponder:

This could be anything from vaginitis, bacterial infection, UTI, or even pyometra. Best to get her to the vet if it persists to have her tested bc pyometra is very life threatening. Please keep us updated on how it goes.

If it is just a little bit, it is normal, and they will sometimes have this discharge before their first heat cycle.

Update!! - Vet Examined her, took her temp (no fever), asked me lots of questions, I showed him these photos that I posted, and photos I took of PH and UTI test strips, right now he feels that there is not a need for concern, and that he would like to do a Urinalysis, just as a precaution, and that If I wanted we could set up a Urine Culture.

This Mama Feels Better!! :happydance:

Yay! When in doubt, we always have Mabel checked out. It doesn't hurt to know for sure.
