Hi All, Newbie here...

So we got ourselves a bulldog puppy in Feb, well my husband came home with him in a large gift bag as a surprise. He's a bit of a nightmare with potty training still at 6 months but he's getting there.

We decided to get him some company, like our 3 kids weren't company enough so we got another bulldog a few weeks ago. She's actually 7 months and bigger than him, but he was the smallest of his litter so that's expected.

He is short and stocky and she is soooooo tall and I know they're all different but I can't help but wonder. Hasn anyone else's bulldog been like this then filled out? Or is she even tall or is he just small?

They are both non standard, so it will be difficult to judge how they will mature since it is likely impossible to discover which breeds were mixed into either of their lines, and when.

Make sure to give them lots of love and discipline! At 6 months he should be well potty trained by now. You may need to look at “nothing is free” training and clamping down on everyone’s responsibilities for potty breaks

@rjisaterp has one that looks like yours but older….
bulldogs changes many times throughout the first 2 yrs. Give it time. Both beautiful dogs.

click on his name n you’ll see his fur ball.

Welcome to EBN @BulldogMama334 . :welcome4:

Your Bully sure does resemble my Cooper Boy. Cooper is 4.5 years old and we are going through training with him. He is a stubborn bully...but most are.

The docked tail on the Black Tri is a giveaway of a mix. Not sure about the other pup. They're both cute as can be. They will keep YOU busy as much as they keep each other busy.

Thank you @oscarmayer I learned something today. Now I can go home...wait a minute, I'm already home.

My sister has two bulldogs from the same breeder and the same parents. The female is your typical short stocky bulldog but the male is tall and skinny. To me he looks mixed but like I said he came from the same breeder and the exact same parents.

What you may have here are the effects of mixing further back coming out (in different ways) on the (different) offspring. In this case there's likely a grand- or great-grand-parent who isn't purebred.

Does your sister have registered pedigrees she can look at?

Welcome to EBN.... you have two cutie pies! as others have said, the colors, and docked tail tell you they are a mix breed somewhere in their lineage. As for looking different, they will grow up and then out for the first two years and each one is still different in how they will grow.

Yes she does. She isn't concerned about how he looks. She just says he is a more athletic bulldog and she does a lot of things with him that she cant do with the female. He does frisbee competitions and dock diving and a few other things because he handles the heat much better than her female does.

I know how much she loves him so I dont say anything, but I do no think he is a very attractive bulldog.
I love that she's out sporting him!

Here he is dock diving, hes still learning so he doesnt jump far but Im still impressed by it!!
I've seen your sister's posts about Brady :) Dock diving looks like so much fun
