I found my Mable by attending a few local dog shows. Many of the folks showing are breeding too and are happy to answer questions about future litters. Consult your local AKC Chapter or English Bulldog Club of America for referrals. In the world of reputable breeding, the pool is generally quite well known. (It is here anyway) Putting down a deposit shouldn't be a problem at all and refundable if things don't work out.
