General Question How much is right ?

So reading all these post I'm wondering if I'm feeding Colonel enough ??

I will get good pics of him tonight after his bath.

I'm feeding diamond beef & rice 1 Cup in the morning only. He looks good to me [emoji53]

I feed both of mine 1 cup twice a day. One is 4yrs old and eats Merrick grain free and weighs 63lbs and the other is 2 1/2 yrs old and eats The Honest Kitchen and weighs 52lbs.

fromm 1 cup twice a day. Plus a generous serving of fruits and vegetables (varies from day to day, apples, bananas, melons, watermelon, kale & carrots boiled or steamed) - plus alternating greek yogurt, cottage cheese, coconut oil.

My guys eat Taste of the Wild. My Henry is 1 1/2 years and weighs 45 pounds. He gets 1 cup twice a day. Clyde is EB mix. Weights 47 pounds and is 8 months. He gets 1 1/2 cup twice a day. Rootbeer is a lab and weighs 72 pounds and is 7. He gets 1 1/2 cup twice a day. When he was on a diet he got 1 cup twice a day. They get a tablespoon of yogurt and a tablespoon of coconut oil with their evening meal. They also get green beans and a fruit snack a few times a day for being good boys. With the added calories of the yogurt and coconut oil they get a little less than the recomended feeding. It works out to be about right. I looked at the diamond recomended food guide and it says 40-60 pounds is 2 1/2-3 1/4. I always assume they are for active dogs and mine a lazy lazy so I use the lowest number and cut off a smidge. How much does your fella weigh? Is he on a diet? Does he gets lots of treats?

Same as most others. A cup twice a day plus a 2 or 3 home baked dog treats and a little raw goat milk. I feed Victor grain free salmon & sweet potato and add a dab of coconut oil, turmeric, vit e and fermented fish stock during 1 feeding.

I just got home , no he's not on a diet and in sure everyone gives him something when I'm not watching [emoji24]

He's lazy and crazy I like the way he looks -- but worried because everyone else feeds so much more!!

He does look great..... what does he weight, he seem to be on the smaller side?

We fed Banks cup 2 x a day ---- our pup is currently getting 1 1/2 cups 2x day

I'm thinking I might up him 1/2 a cup but spread it out over another meal. So that would be 3/4 morning and night

Monty was getting 3/4 cup (AvoDerm revolving menu) twice a day as he needed to lose some weight. He has lost 4 lbs so now I have upped it just a bit (still not a cup) and will see how he does at the next weigh in. I also give him Kefir, coconut oil and either veggies or a tbsp non-fat cottage cheese as a topper. He was 70 lbs, now 66 lb. It is always better to feed twice a day, less chance of bloat.

My girl Jesse is about 45lb and I feed her a cup and a half total per day (3/4 c twice a day) and I swear she's a chubby one. So your boy may only need that much. If you are worried, up it by 1/2 c and then watch his weight, if he starts to look chubby you will know.
