Hi I have a 3 year old and we live in AZ I do not give Max any heart worm medicine. We just had a visit at the Vet and I told him we are going to Colorado this summer We were there last year in May and did not give him any medicine This summer it will be June. We stay at Rv parks with lots of Deer. Do you think it would make a difference a month later Or would you give them heart worm medicine. Thanks

I’ve never gave any dewormer if it wasn’t natural. I have cows and chickens. Nyala like eating dirt which can sometimes be mix with cow poop from the tractor. I’m very careful but hey it’s an acreage. My German Shepherd eats poop. I picked up immediately after the dogs doing their business. Sometimes I can miss a poop n she’ll eat it. 😔 All this to say, none of my dogs ever got worms. I use to use a natural dewormer but now I do thisšŸ‘‡ recipe. So far so good.

I would also use natural flea/tick/mosquito repellents… I’m currently using wonderside along with a garlic powder tablet

What about flea and tick meds Thanks I should mention that max has had head tremors in the past not sure if that makes a difference

I use only essential oils. Been doing this for decades. I personally never put chemicals on my dogs. I don’t even give them vaccines. But that’s me. I use to often walk with them in the Rockies and yes the mountains have ticks. I simply used a couple drops of lavender oil on the dog’s collars. I also do a mixture which I modified a bit and totally works for fleas and ticks.

2oz of fractionated coconut oil
10 drops of lavender
10 drops of peppermint
8 drops of tea tree
I would spray them before walking. You can also use it on yourself.
I use high quality oils like DoTerra online. There are others are just as good. If you see lavender at 10$ a bottle and one at 50$.You’ll know your answer. And you only use drops so it does last long.

For tremors, there was a video I posted a few yrs ago on here. An EB with tremors. The guy used Frankincense essential oil. He put a drop on his finger and rubs the drop in the center of the inner paw. Did that to each paws and same for each ears. For the ears, you rub ABOVE the ear canal. It’s took about a minute and the dog tremors stopped.

Now I am NOT telling you to do these recipes and/or ideas cause at the end of the day, it’s your dog. Not mine. You do what want. šŸ‘

Head tremors are unfortunately common but harmless, there is no pain or no known cause for them to be happening… many speculate they are triggered by allergies but the vet community has not been able to confirm. Yes, garlic is a repellent for some insects including those I listed. You have to use the correct dosage for you dog’s weight. I feed raw which also has a small amount of garlic in the formula. It’s not 100% but in over 16 years we’ve never had fleas, very few ticks that didn’t latch on and well mosquitoes.. too hard to tell if they’ve ever been bitten

True, head tremors aren’t dangerous. It’s just a pain seeing them go through it ā˜¹ļø
