A lot of us with renal dogs use recipes by a Dr Strombeck. He wrote a book called Home Prepared Diets for Cats and Dogs in 1999. His diets are for young, old, overweight, sick, diabetic, renal, gastro... you name it, he's got a diet for it. Last year they decided to stop publication and Dr Strombeck decided to give the book away for free.
