Hoping she likes water because it is extremly hot here most of the year!

My Hank Loves water and did good at swimming as a youngin... Don't know with his 'bulk' how he'll do come summer, but be VERY cautious as I'm told that MOST sink even if they love the water. I am thrilled that he's a water dog, but will watch carefully, very carefully when beach season comes around..

Awe......
we have one pit mix that likes to jump off of the diving board, but one other pit and a boxer that only go in to sit on the stairs to cool off. Lol..IMG_1546.JPGIMG_1508.JPG

Be very careful of your EBD around the pool-she may fall in and drown. She needs to wear a life jacket!

Some can swim, but most can not.... I would get her a life jacket to be on the safe side

My bull dog puppy Daphne fell right into the pool the first day we brought her home. She immediately sunk like a stone. She has no natural reaction to dog paddle...just glug glug glug and down she went. It was really frightening. We watch her like a hawk every moment now. Please be very careful.

She will surely be watched closely out there!

We are outside with the dogs when they are out.

Our bullies are always under supervision when outside, in the pool or not.

Ours too! We spend a lot of time outside with the weather here. IMG_0470.JPG

Ours dogs are our babies.

Some bullies do swim but be very careful about aspiration. I have the outward hound life jacket with a head float. Since they have no neck it can sometimes be difficult for them to breath and swim. I did not get to use it yet as we only have a kiddie pool.

Additionally you need to clean or wipe them after swimming. All those wrinkles we love are prone to skin conditions in moist environments like ears, face folds, paws, and the tail pocket. The chlorine may also need to be rinsed off.

We took Odin for a swimming class, but he does not kick with his back legs.

But he loves the water, so he is always on the pool steps when we are outside.
