No need. He keeps them both spic n span with that tongue of his

I use Stainless Steel bowls, and after their morning meal, I rinse out the bowls with hot water, and then after they eat their evening meal, I put the bowls in the dishwasher and I turn the dishwasher on before going to bed, so they are always clean in the morning.

Food bowl gets washed every night after dinner and all the water bowls are done once a week except the outside one which gets done every other day.

Food bowl at the end of the night, he gets yogurt a lot, water bowl couple times a week, but I do rinse with hot water after breakfast and after dinner.

Soap and HOT water after every meal, his water dish I use soap and hot water every morning. I'd do the same if we had a kid I spose but I wouldn't make them drink water out of a bowl. I always say it's to bad Buster can't get his own water out of the dispenser.
