Bulldog breathing

Donkey sound.... Seems to be a reverse sneeze. Can you get video next time and we can all confirm for you.

marlene posted the video and as she stated, it will just pass. I tend to cover the nostrils to force breathing through the mouth which can stop it.

Thanks for the info, will try covering the nostrils next time as well.

How old is Meatball? I ask because I had a bulldog that also had a problem with this and it was a sign of heart failure. I do not say this to panic you - it could be a reverse sneeze! - but if it tends to happen while he's laying down or when he gets excited, and he seems uncomfortable, you might want to see a vet.
