This is my go to for over 4 yrs Nyala’s tail pocket. Yes like Chip said baby wipes but definitely wear surgical gloves. I do see a tail on him n he has tail pocket issues? Make sure you go all the way to the pocket wall inside. I dip a corner of the wipe, dip in the mix and go deep inside. Repeat till wipes come out clean.. if you can’t find Arborvitae use thuja as it’s also in the evergreen family... or avoid it if you can’t find thuja either. Great for ear maintenance too

15 drops Lavender
15 drops Geranium
15 drops Frankincense
15 drops Basil
10 drops Arborvitae

Fractionated Coconut Oil the clear one, fill a bottle of 5oz about n fill 3/4 of the way full. Add your EOs. Shake bottle well before using.

That's what most do if they have one of those tails with "clamping" ability. You just have to work your way under it. It's not easy but has to be done. I found that bath time is the best time for a thorough cleaning, however, it's very important to rinse under the tail really good so no soap residue remains that can make things worse.
