Zoey has an eye problem that popped up today. She has an appointment Tuesday the 24th. Should I wait till her appointment Tuesday or should I take her in right away? And is there anything we can do for her now? Picture of her yesterday and today:

The second picture looks like cherry eye to me. If it is cherry eye it usually isn't painful for them and they don't even notice its there. You can wait. I rushed Tubby to emergency when he developped it but he was perfectly fine. Its more painful for us to look at them then anything.

Tom it looks like a cherry eye,it doesn't bother them ,so there is no need to rush to the vet ,Lily got hers at 9 weeks thrugh rough play and Shy "clawing her" (she claws everything as form of entertainment and pointing-for scent training my fault i taught her that)if you have a look through my pictures 99.9 % got a cherry in them from very beginning ,we tried to massage ours back but i popped out next day-bigger and ee couldn't massage it back in place , vet gave us eyedrops that were antibiotic and anti inflammatory, we waited until lily was 4,5 months old to do the op ,but from what i noticed most members waited to perform the op while dogs where neutered ;-)

Thanks for the replies. I feel better and we'll wait. But you're right it does hurt us to look at her, poor baby.

It looks like cherry eye to me :( Poor baby :(
You can try to lightly push it back in to see if it will stay for a little while I dont really know how to explain it to you so that it makes sence :( sorry.
You might be able to find a video or instuction on how to gentley try to put it back in. Some time it will work and stay in for good and other time it will only stay in for a little while. I have one girl that has one that pops out once or twice a year usually when pollen is really high and I just push it back in and it stays fine.

Our Bella used to get cherry eye, and we could massage it back in... She should be fine, this is pretty common in bullies. Keep us posted!!!

I tried putting it back in but it just pops right back out so we'll have to wait for the vet to look at it.

Poor baby -- I know it's tougher on you than her...but still. Sending good thoughts!

I would wait and let the vet take a look ,maybe he will be able to massage it back in ,i just had a look at Lilys records and from what i can gather she was prescribed fucithalmic eye drops while we waited for the op (i would say it helped reduce the redness and a bit of the swelling) hope that helps and keep us updated ;-)

You guys are braver then me to massage it back in. What a sucky baby I was I couldn't even watch the video and had to leave the room when Tubby's dad tried to massage it back in

Massaging it back in didn't work for me and talking to Zoey's breeder, he suggest we get it fixed right away since we have two bullys and they do play rough. Don't want it to get to bleeding, so we have an appointment with a bulldog specialist early tomorrow morning. The good thing is we found a vet that is a bulldog specialist.

Hi There, My boy had this happen just an hour or so ago!! As the vet isnt open at this hr, I googled and looked here (what a fantastic forum this is <3 ) and I have massaged my boys back in :) Pulled his lower lid up and gently massaged. Apparently quite common but will chat to my vet about it :)
Your little girl is super cute <3
