I'm new to the Northern CA area and while doing some research I found out it gets to about 51 degrees sometimes from November til who knows when!! Well we live in apartments and Stoagie will have to be walked to go potty and to burn energy, so I don't want him getting chilly even if we're just out for about 10-15 minutes. Any clothes suggestions???? I've never dressed a dog but he's my baby and I want him comfortable. Sweaters? Jackets? Maybe something for his feet? And if so where do I go? Online??

Any help and or links would be helpful, thank you!:clap2:

If it only gets in the low 50's there I wouldn't worry about it, they will love the cool weather. I would say if it's in the low 40's or below and they are going to be out for an extended period maybe a jacket for them. It gets below 30 sometimes here and we don't put anything on ours, but they are only out long enough to do their business and right back in.

Davidh Oh ok thank you! that makes me worry a lot less, we only take him on brief walks he doesnt like them much but he I think they are good for him. lol. And besides that and potty time he is an inside baby[: So maybe it won't be necessary thank you[: I just know I'll be cold at 51 degrees lol

it gets a lil'cold feeling but not super cold (I'm only about 5 hours from you) I haven't had to put cloths on them in less its a just because kind of thing, they rather like the cooler temps and tends to make them more frisky and playful ... unless its raining then you could always put a rain jacket on for the walks, that is what my friend does for her bulldog. I just keep a towel by the backdoor so when they come in I can give a little rub down and wipe their feet. You shouldn't have to hard of a time with the cooler weather its the hot temps like this weekend that we have to worry about anything over 95.F I limit outside time and this weekend its suppose to be in the 100's again

I live in N Fla and we have similar weather. I agree that 50 is fine for them and I usually put a fleece top on my guy if its below 40 and we're going for a walk. I get Doughnut's tops and socks at carolinapetpantry.com. They're made by Mugzy Couture and are "bully size" :)

I'd envy anyone who's 'winters' get to 51 - we are in the north east - we usually run in the 20's-30's with some single digits too!

but 50's for a bully... is like PARTY Weather ! ! ! ! we've been getting to 55-60 in the evenings, and the windows are all open as wide as possible ! :)

Oh and I forgot to mention, no clothes for our bullies, except the Halloween Costume and Football Jerseys :)

We live in Central KY and it can get down right chilly here in the winter months. We will have some mornings in January and February with near 0 temps (occasionally sub zero) and daytime temps in 20s and 30s. We don't do clothes either, except a Halloween costume (so Tank & my grandson can be Batman and Robin :) ), but I did buy him a coat. Not one with sleeves or hood, but one that is more like a blanket. It has fleece underside and rain/snow/wind repellant material on top that velcro around his neck and body. I'm trying to decide on foot coverings. I'd think his big ole feet would be very cold in snow and ice, even though he probably will only be out briefly. I'd love 51 on the winter. Shoot, 51 for us would be Springtime :)

I was worried about the cold too. I bought Char a fleece that fits almost more like a horse jacket (two velcro flaps, one around the belly, one across the chest) This fits well because there's no "arm holes" which are usually very tight. I got it on sale at Petco for 8 bucks, so I figured why not. Not too many "large" sized dogs buying clothes I guess, so it went to clearance ;)

Thank you everyone!!! I think I'll just buy him a jacket for if it rains since he'll be loving the cool weather[:

You can also bid on one of LariP fleece shirts that she makes when there are auctions on here. They are great and EBN always has one that starts the first of every month

It has been in the 50s-60s here and Bacon has been loving life, he is full of energy and ready to run

50s in the winter...pssh! JK -- I've been wondering the same thing, actually, though we do get a bit colder here in the desert. We bought him a sweater, but even I have to agree it makes him look like a roll of Lifesavers. :(

Abby is always cold so she always has a sweater on. I was with my mom in Target yesterday and we got her some sweatshirts from the infant/toddlers department clearance rack. 2-3 bucks each!

What size hoodie would I get for a 2xl bully in the infant toddler section?
