Renzo
T minus 14 days and counting until Mr. Renzo arrives, yippeeee.

After reading tons of information on EBN, I have decided to feed Renzo Fromm.

Here's the issue, we will get Renzo at 12 weeks old, he is currently on IAMS puppy food. It seems that the switch to an all stages food should wait until 16 weeks. So which way to go? I want to switch to a better quality food, but I don't want to upset his system by switching again four weeks later.

Should I keep him on the IAMS for four more weeks, or go ahead and switch him to the Fromms Beef Frittata?

Thank you all in advance.

if you find him doing well on IAMS without any problems, let it be. The change is hard on systems. he's a growing puppy and doesn't need any diareha at this stage of growth.

You could switch him to Fromm puppy and then wait about 2 mnths before doing All stages beef

Thanks :)

I always heard the first 4 months are the most important growth wise and its important to have a good food to ensure proper development. :) He is a handsome fella cant wait to see him grow :)

ChanelnBrutus desertskybulldogs Will I need to do a transition period from Fromm Puppy to Fromm All Stages, or can I go straight from one to the other?

Thanks, I really appreciate all that you give to the community.

With Fromm all stages you dont have to slow transisiton. With the puppy I would just to make sure he doesnt get an upset tummy or soft poop. You can also add some yogurt or cottage cheese to the food about 1tbsp. Just to jazz it up :)

Yes you will need to do a transition but it should not need to be a long one. Their puppy food is made up of completely different ingredients and it is in the gold line vs the four star line. Hope that helps!
