The other day I posted about Frankie being diagnosed w/ hip dysplasia I had her back at the vet this morning to have blood test done to rule out any tick-borne diseases and a full cbc count done. I have to wait till next Tuesday for the other test, but her CBC counts were perfectly normal.. He said that he reviewed the xray that was taken on Saturday and it is perfectly apparent she has hip dysplasia in her right hip, but he wouldn't see why it would be making her walk or drag and NOT use her rear at all. its NOT always that she does this but, she does it daily and at no specific time, just random... it just all started when she wouldn't walk that made me make her 1st apt w/ the vet on 8/12 we will be sent to an Ortho after results come back Tuesday if its normal. ANY advise or if I just have a LAZY bulldog, please let me know.. GRRRR im having trouble uploading the video....It says its too large...

As hard as it may be,,,, I think you will have to wait for the tests. We had our Lil Amy at a Ortho Specialist a few months ago about her hips and have to go back for re-evaluation sometime next month. Havent set the appointment yet.
As far as the video. ..... I load mine to You Tube and then paste the video here once it is done loading. I dont think there is a size limit with You Tube.

I know ;( ill keep you all in our prayers as well Thanks I will try that!

So sorry Frankie's going through this. I fixed the link for you but it's marked private so no one can view it. You can change that setting in YouTube and that will fix it.

Thank you , I will change it. Have you seen this w/ hip dysplasia before?

I'm not too sure about hip dysplasia but I hope things work out ok for you!!!

That is not the case of being lazy...I think something is definitely wrong here!

Reluctance to stand on hind legs is a tell-tale sign of hip problems. I wouldn't wait to take your bully to an orthopedic specialist. Also, they usually do their own x-rays because many, many times, the x-rays done by regular vets are not performed correctly to show what they are looking for (there is a special technique PennHIP x-ray) so they retake them to show the hips in the exact position they are looking for, as well as expertly manipulate each hip to determine laxity.

Prayers for Frankie! Looks like hip problems to me...but best to get the ortho to diagnose since he/she will be able to tell what can be done with exercise, supplements, therapy, etc...

SHe is so cute! I hope she is able to use her legs soon!

Thank you all :,( the ortho cant get her in till next week so I HOPE that she will be ok till then.. They told me just to keep her on the previcox and tramadol until..
