Hospitals have a product that IV nurses use to get sticky tape off tender skin. My daughter had some small packets and it worked to get the wads of super glue off Buster's ears!

I have a big bottle of industrial strength "sticky stuff remover" if that helps

Mayo!!! Seriously. Mayonaise is great for taking off sticky stuff. I saw it once on Mythbusters and it works! It takes bumper stickers off your car, walls or fridge, glue out of your hair... if it's stuck on there grab a spatula and slap it on there

Anti climax really, after rubbing on a lubricant last night and after i walk in the park today its come off in its own accord.
