Tooth irritating upper lip

My bully usually has one lower tooth sticking out and recently his upper lip is getting irritated where it rubs against it. His lip used to be black there bur now it's pink/ red and slightly swollen. It doesn't seem to bother him but it doesn't look right to me. Not how it used to look anyway. Any suggestions?

If I had to guess why the flubber is getting irritated by the tooth, I would think that there's a chip in the tooth. Teeth should be smooth so anything other that that would surely irritate the flubber. Can you get a picture of where the irritation is?

Might have a vet look at it to see if something is going on with that tooth.

Ours have had this happen a few times and it always heals but if its on going I'd have it checked out.It could be from chewing toys to .
