eat and ask questions later. When in the kitchen, my dog is always on the lookout for any accidental stuff that falls from my hand (food)down to the floor and he is quick to swallow. We have a citrus fruit (very sour) kalamansi, an Asian version of the lemon. We use it as a dip. It is much smaller in size even smaller or about half the size of a golf ball. It is very sour. I accidentally dropped one this one time and Harvey picked it up and swallowed instantly. To his defense, he did not even chew it. LOL. He must have realized, that stuff was not even good.

It's so true! There is also no such thing as a "2-second dog" in our house. It is gone almost before it hits the floor! We have to be really careful with our meds.

I feel the same....their hearing is supersonic when I drop something(I have to move so fast-if it is a pill) but oddly enough, they don't "hear ME" if I am calling them outside!!
