wow. scary stuff! 
i would definately call the vet and see what they say/suggest. i searched this online as it makes me very curious....i seen many different theories; from seizures, bloat, circulation (heart) or respiratory. in no way do i want to scare you, but i would definately assume it could be a sign of something else. hopefully it was just a "pass out" sort of unharmful happening.
