Thinking of finding a new vet

We are fortunate to have a great bully vet here in Houston. It is an hour drive for us but well worth it. they are just great and so caring, plus they know bullies.

We live in such a small, rural area and have 3 vet practices to choose from. Only 1 offers 24 hr. care so that made our decision. I think we lucked out because both vets are good and both vets really like Bulldogs. Also, WSU school of vet med. is about 3.5 hrs. away, I guess they'd be considered our Bulldog specialists!

I wish we had Bully vets, 1 of the vet lady's told me maybe we should give Ftse a facelift so he does not have as many wrinkles Can you believe that!!

I hope you find a vet you like. We, too, do not feel like we are more than a number at the vet we used with Aubrey. They are so busy because they've been around for years that I just feel like they gave us the 'yeah yeah's' until they realized Aubrey was losing too much weight too fast and the vomiting was not going away. With Aubie Shug, we are trying a new vet nearby. They are available 24 hours a day, has a vet there 24 hours all weekend from close Friday to opening Monday, and even offers at home care for a small fee. I've heard nothing but good things about them so far, so we will see how it goes!

Definately switch if your not satisfied! I drive two hours to see Dr. John Wilson whom in many peoples opinion is the best in the state of MI. His workers are a little "special" but I tolerate them because I trust him with my bullies.

We drive an hour to the vet for Einstein. We tried a place locally but they didn't know a thing about bulldogs. They told he was overweight when he was only 6 months old! My goodness he's still growing. Anyway our bully vet is amazing. His nephew just graduated from veterinary school and is equally amazing. The facility isn't state of the art but it's a family run business and it shows in their customer service. After Einstein's entropion surgery there were no charges for follow up. They didn't even charge us for the original visit. The last time I was there I needed some more medicated wipes. Our doc noticed they were expired so he just gave them to us for free. They are individually packaged so they're fine. Hope you find someone you trust with your pups and doesn't try to rip you off! There's nothing better than knowing your dogs are in good hands.

That would be my exit. Heck no, even if they think it they better never say it to me or that would be the last they saw of me there. lol
