wow here is one i thought id never see.


February 21, 2013 – The Honest Kitchen has today announced it isvoluntarily recalling five lots of its Verve, Zeal and Thrive dog foods because they may be contaminated with Salmonellabacteria.

The items were produced between August and November 2012 and sold nationwidein the US and Canada via retail stores, mail order and online after August 2012.
No other Honest Kitchen production dates, batches, or products are affected.
The recall event has been confirmed by the FDA in a news bulletin dated February 21, 2013.

About Salmonella​

Healthy people infected with Salmonella should monitor themselves for some or all of the following symptoms:

• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea or bloody diarrhea
• Abdominal cramping
• Fever

[MENTION=2291]cowsmom[/MENTION] - Thank you for the recall notice, I'm with you on the never thought I would see that happen! I only feed Force or Embark so I'm happy they weren't a part of the recall but that is still something to be worried about now

i actually have a box of thrive within the dates mentioned but the lot number is not what i have. besides they have already eaten over half the box.
