So my Rambo's tail is so tight. I am guessing most are. But I can see stuff getting on there a little bit. Does it hurt to straight it out and clean it with the tucks? Or is it better to try and clean without pulling on it?

Try not to pull on it if you can.... I try to use my pinky finger to get under the tail with a cotton pad

No, don't pull on the tail. Instead get a soft tissue or soft pad and just work your way in and out of the folds and crevices. Lots of peeps here use a little witch hazel to clean the tails. I find a lot of "debris" in Tate's tail and I must clean his out a couple times a day.

I just noticed it is irritated and sore to the touch. I have some stuff we use on our other dogs ears when she gets infected. She has a lot of problems. He does not like that at all when I clean it before now he is really not happy. I am using the tucks worth witch hazel on them.

Our maggie has a very tight tail pocket! Hers used to get VERY irritated. We had to clean several times a day with witch hazel underneath and she hated it...then used Pantalog ointment twice a day up in there until clear. Now we clean it every night with the pads and its fine.

Is that over the counter?
I have something called Gentizol for my Jack Russell ears. It says it is an anti fungal cream sounds like the same stuff
