Help Needed! Switching Dog Food

I want to switch Smalls' food. I had him on Natural Balance L.I.T Lamb but his stool was soft so I switched him to Zignature Lamb and his stool looked a million times better but he started to develop skin infections and was CONSTANTLY licking his paws. Wondering if I should stick with Zignature and change the protein or go to Acana. If I go to Acana, which formula would be best to start him on?

What protein is he eating right now? You can definitely try a different protein to see if you notice a difference and if there is no improvement, change to Acana.

I would try dehydrated raw or raw since he tends to have food allergies. My dog with allergies has been doing well on a dehydrated raw product called "Only Natural EasyRaw turkey" https://www.onlynaturalpet.com/products/Only-Natural-Pet-EasyRaw-Dehydrated-Dog-Food/999244.aspx. Other brands include Spot Farms and Honest Kitchen.

I would try a different protein first. I have just tried Monty on Turkey (Zignature) but don't feel like he is doing as well on it so will stick with the other two. His stool has been much drier than usual. He usually rotates with the Salmon & Trout or the Duck. I don't have to transition with the Zignature so that helps.

I agree... get away from the lamb and see if there is any change. Try another Zignature protein and make sure it is grain free too.
