I would avoid the vet, they tend to want to prescribe meds that are not good for this breed, just me and my bullies (Dax and Darla) but our little Girl Darla gets hotspots and had a similar outbreak. NuStock is one of the best things to use. Dried hers up in a couple of days and in a little over a week hair was almost all the way grown back.
Look up MayorTyson on IG. Extremely knowledgeable in dealing with these issues. Most likely is a result of something he/she ate.
