Cool here today and raining so Castor decided to borrow my blanket for his afternoon nap on the couch.

Btw, the top of his nose is really dry. He doesn't seem to be bothered by it and I hesitate to put something on his nose in case he would inhale it. Any advice?

He's a cutie ! I would rub a tiny bit of coconut oil onto his nose. I put a tiny bit on my finger and wipe it on the nose from top moving downwards.

Good day for a nap Castor! Jax gets a dry nose like that as well. I use a nose butter I get on Amazon but you can totally use coconut oil as suggested by Dollys Owner. The only reason I don’t is because I have two other dogs who would just try to lick it off. They don’t care about the nose butter.

Thanks for your advice - will try some coconut oil!

I have used coconut oil in the past, and aqua pour BUT I started using bag balm and I really see a difference. I got it on Amazon...

Nose update: I've applied coconut daily and the nose is now almost black again and less dry but the top part of the nose still looks like a little brush. Do you think the bristle will come off or will the nose stay that way?

Banks had the same thing.. her nose was moist, but the top always has the ‘bristle’

Bogey's nose was cracked and looked awful the last time I sat for him. I had Aquafor ointment. Just a dab on my finger and massaged into his nose. Within hours, it was just beautiful! No fear of inhaling- just a little goes a long way! ( BTW- they recommend this for radiation burns for cancer treatments.) It's a great product!!

Voitto's nose gets like that too, so I started to make my own blend oils and herbs. He's almost 8 and his nose is like this...106911870_10158610783864726_3994244481137285504_n.jpg I'm making a batch next week. Would you like to order some? Those bristles will come off in a week.
