Petunia is of course in the wonderful puppy stages at almost 12 weeks old. She doesnt seem to listen when we tell her no, no matter how firm. I have a 1 yr old and she bites him to pieces....as she does all of us. I have holes in my toes etc. I know that's part of puppy stages but any suggestions how to help break this now would be great. Besides no and we also try to redirect with toys. I just hate crating her bc of her biting Gage. Here are a few new pics. ..

As cute and puppy-ish as she is...CRATE her when she's being obstinate. Yell NO and stick her in the crate for 10-15 minutes. When you let her out, expect her to do the same...that will be your signal to rinse and repeat...back in the kennel. It will take a while, hours, days, weeks, but she'll eventually get it.
She's absolutely gorgeous, BTW. I can't make up my mind if she's a reddish fawn or a fawnish red. I'll just guess she's...fawn. My monitor might need calibrating... :ponder:

Also you can grab her by the skin n the back of her neck and softly but firmly press her to the floor saying NO, this is how bitch disciplines puppies. Press her until she stops trying to escape. You need to establish yourself like alpha.

Continue as you are... redirecting usually catches on quickly, but you have to be patient.

I always did firm no and stop playing and giving attention, give the toy or bone and walk away

So you settled for the name Petunia...beautiful name. Right now she might not be a flower but a shark. Lol

What always worked for the bitting was grab the jowls on each side, stretch them with a very firm NO n in the crate they went. Also I never go out of raw marrow bones. Saved my skin, furnitures n more.

The gang has got you covered... remember consistency is the key. I absolutely LOVE her coloring, she is a beauty!!!
