Prayers for Ms Ellie

Good Morning all, thank you so much for your love and concern, Vet postpned her scope from last night till 8AM today, as felt her Aspiration Pneumonia was mild, and would only benefit from additional time on the IV medication, and that she was her happy little self, and in further reviewing the xrays, along with her symptoms and health, that what is her in her esophagus is not foreign matter, so we are impatiently waiting the scope results as i type this

MFrey2012 Great update.....anxiously awaiting your next post, following the scope. God Bless!

Aww I'm so sorry Melissa, I hope Miss Ellie is okay, and the vet can determine what is causing the blockage. Could she have swallowed something you don't know about? I hope she feels better soon. Please keep us posted on what the vet says. Sending love, hugs, and prayers to you both. ❤️🙏🏻

Hi All, just got off the phone with the Vet, scope showed no blockage, however, she does have a pocket in her esophagus, that is going to need to be treated simialer as a Mega Esophagus patient, she will need to fed in an elevated fashion, so food doesnt get stuck in this pocket, and he also said her Aspiration Pneumonia is clearing up well, and she is recovering well from the anesthesia, she maybe able to come tonight, but definately tomorrow. Vet also reassured me that once better, she will be able to do all her puppy playing things!!

Cant believe how quick, all this happened, as she showed NO real signs of being sick...

Thank you all again, for the love and support

Oh Melissa, I just read this post and am so relieved to hear that the scope went well and the problem was found! Also wonderful to hear that Ellie should be back to her precious puppy self soon after recovery. She's a lucky girl to have you as her Mom! In reading through all the posts I was touched by all the prayers, love, warm wishes and support you and Ellie received. What was just as touching were your updates. We all know how difficult it is to gather and convey your thoughts during such a stressful time. Every update was like a big hug back to your EBN family. We thank you... :grouphug: We love you and Ellie... we're here for you both.

So what did the barium surround? The pocket?? Just curious bc we used barium as well and that's how we knew Tyson still had a sock in his stomach. I know a scope is used for something in stomach but can't be used if the object has made it to the intestines already.

Either way I'm happy she did so well!!! Thank goodness :)

WOW.... so glad you got her in to the vet so quickly too! I hope she is home with you tonight

Very happy it's not a blockage. It's every bulldog parents' nightmare. Very happy she's on the road to recovery.

I'm so glad to be reading that she doesn't have a blockage, and she is getting better. Continued prayers for a quick recovery, and that she's back home soon.

Very good to hear. With proper management all will be fine. The girl had us worried for a bit.

Wonderful News about Ms Ellie, I was worried about her, but Thank God She is going to be ok, and no blockage. Still I am Praying for Ms Ellie to always be Healthy and a Happy Girl.

OMG!! - Thank you all so much again for your love and support:loveeyes::loveeyes:, I am so beyond grateful to have found this site, I wish I could hug each and everyone of you!!:hug:

Vet office just called and said she is still on her IV antibiotics, and told us to call back around 4PM to see if she will be ready to come home, fingers crossed!!

If there is anyone out there that has experience with Esophageal Pockets/Megaesophagus, all of your help would be greatly appreciated, I HAVE MANY questions on how to move forward, and keep Ellie the healthiest best little girl she can be!!
