I hope he gets through this quickly.
Hi,
Has anyone had their male bulldog diagnosed with 'paraphimosis'
Bruce has just had the diagnosis and needs to be castrated Thanks
I do have a question I would ask that vet.... Why castration when Paraphimosis is tight foreskin can't return to it's normal location once retracted? Like not as if he’ll castrate the penis...
I always had males many years ago one had that issue but they simply removed the skin around the penis. Bit like human men...

I will certainly ask the vet.
So has it happened before, many times? Did it eventually retract?
My late Usko had quite a lot going for him and he aired his stuff and sowed his seeds plenty. Sometimes it took awhile before he he got his "act" together, but never any damage. We did help him sometimes with cool water. Since he is booked on the 27th, I assume he's ok now? Of course if he is castrated he will no longer get so excited for this to happen again, but if it's not everyday and he gets normal after awhile, it's not medical.
So nowadays they do castrations for this? Back when with mine was removed of some skin n never had issues after that. Interesting.
