I hate it. It is becoming more and more difficult to find a private practice. A previous vet left as her practice was bought out by VCA. She said she had limited discretion on treatments and it was all about the money and going by the book.

It’s infuriating… our vet told us that he struggles to hire and keep staff because he can’t pay what the big companies are paying… luckily most of the people at our vet office aren’t in it for big bucks.. they love animals and enjoy their he job

Luckily I still have a private owned vet but he keeps talking about retiring. I’m not sure if it’s just because I retired about a year and a half ago and every time he sees me, he brings the subject up. I hope it’s just small talk because my girl Pickle absolutely loves him. I hate to see small business lose out to larger corporations because it feels like it takes a little bit of soul out of our community

Same for humans, the more govt wants to take over the people’s health the more the people will be waiting to see a dr or will wait yrs for surgery. What will you see? People dying faster or give up. Why I believe it’s important to have private clinics. If a person wants to pay for their health it’s their right. Right now, which I know of some people, a lot are flying to Mexico to get surgery. Something is definitely not right. Our healthcare system here in Canada use to be the best, since dipchit Trudeau came along, we have the highest “deaths” in the world, people lining up for food banks, overs does by the hundreds daily etc….. That POC is the most useless twat on the planet! Narcissist chit.
