Hey everyone! Im a soon to be owner of a EB, which I pick up on wednesday! I have always had a love and passion for EB's and its finally my chance to have my first one! I love that this forum is so informational and EVERYONE is so helpful and positive. Im a member on many different types of forums, and this has got to be the best group of friendly, helpful people I have seen on a forum. Anyways, I have some general questions about some things to get. Im now down to getting some general grooming and cleaning products. So far I have my shampoo, conditioner, furminator, unscented baby wipes, and gold bond. My question is between malacetic otic and witch hazel, what is the difference, and why or when you use them? Do I need both? Thanks in advance!

Extra Credit: I havent chosen a name yet, but ill let you guys vote and ill take it into consideration. Gus, Butters, Beefy, Bacon, Meatloaf, Pumba, Domo, or Mochi.

:smileywelcome: What a cute baby! I have to admit I'm a Southpark addict. When I read that Butters was one of your choices, I couldn't stop laughing! It's perfect! If you don't use it, I will on my next bully!

WELCOME!!!
Look at all those wrinkles :luv: Some times I think this forum is bad for me cause I keep getting puppy fever with all these cute pictures.
I'm with ChrisRN on this one Butters all the way!

Holy Bully Baby -- he is precious.... I love the name Butters, so darn cute! Second choice is Meatloaf.

Witch Hazel.... Iuse often, it is great becasue it is cheap and self-drying. I never used the malacetic wipes, but many here do and will be along with more info for you

:welcome3: to EBN and the most wonderful world of Bulldogs!

Welcome to the best forum there is :) No joke! Glad you joined us and Oh my goodness he is sooooooo cute!!!! So wrinkly too :) Excited for him to come home to you!

Welcome to the site and once he gets a little bigger I'd get a Kong Zoom Groom. I love that thing and so do my bullies. I don't care much for the furminator. As far as malacetic otic and witch hazel, they both have there place. Usually the witch hazel for general ear cleaning, just put a little on a cotton ball and wring out and wipe inside of ear, or the little makeup removal pads work well too. The malacetic otic is when you need to clean deep in the ear. Your baby is just too cute and looks like a Gus to me.

I vote for Beefy!
Oh, and btw, Hello & Welcome to the site. Thanks for joining our group, great to see you!
I can't help with your 1st question, though..sorry. I know you'll get some great advise from others, though.

I just have to add, if I could Id take the white one home. I have a soft spot for white dogs (goes back to my white german shepard).

:welcome3: I'm with the Butters crowd! And what an adorable boy he is!

Oh and I've heard of a lot of different bullies with the name Beefy. I don't think I've ever heard of a Butters before and thats part of why I like it so much, it is unique! And just cool!

He is beautiful; I would call him London Broil. From my experience you need both the witch hazel and malacetic otic. I use the witch hazel on Ambers tail pocket and the malacetic otic on her wrinkles. I has made a significant difference with her tear stains. Malacetic otic ultra has cleared up her tear stains and now I use the malacetic otic regular a few times a week. Amber has never had yeast problems but had tear stains and I tried everything. I recently bought a second EBD and was advised to try the malcetic otic; I did, it works and I am hooked on it now. Congratulations on your new puppy and welcome to the forum.
