I tried growing some from seed...epic failure...grrrr. Pepper plants, however, are still alive. Not sure for how long tho.
Hi!! It's been a minute...LOL

Failed how? Some of my seeds did not germinate but the majority did. I am just waiting to re-pot, must be soon, afraid I have some leggy seedlings....YIKES!

A good trick to give any seeds that just got put into soil is a heating mat. They sell them especially for plants. I planted my seeds about 2weeks n most took a week to pop out…..btw pepper’s are always slower.

They died overnight after moving them to peetpots and placing them outside.
I think overnight temp dropped too low for the stressed little ones.

First photo are my 2 old tomato seeds. Everything is growing well. I put them in the little greenhouse yesterday n earlier today it rain but turned to snow. All melted….Didn’t take any chances so brought them back in on their mats to heat up their little “feet” 😁

Ahh yes...the Spring bug has hit and we all can't wait to get our vegetable gardens underway. Now I have been using seedling trays and a heat mat for night time. If the weather is nice, I place the trays outside in the sunlight bringing them in the evening. Broccoli Raab and Spinach are ready to be placed in the ground and are out growing the seedling trays. Tomatoes, Tomatillos, Peppers, Cucumbers, as well as the Herbs are now in trays on a heat mat as mentioned above. Arugula has sprouted. I will be waiting until after a few days in May to plant in ground as long as the long range forecast has overnight temperatures over 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

Garlic planted. Asparagus coming up.

My idea of a grow light was a little better than a 40W bulb in a coat closet. FAIL!
Lollll

I do have the real growing lights n 2 tents. Yes for weed but, yes there’s a but, I use to grow CBD weed. Just CBD n no THC in it. Use to make my own healing creams. Now I’m looking to sell my bigger tent n probably keep the smaller one since I got more room here will be easier to grow the veggies in as starting tent.

Wow you got a lot going. Heat mats are great to give seeds that boost. And yes alway good to put them outside a bit. The breeze helps thicken the stems of the plant.

I can’t put them out yet. Here we need to wait at least till mid May. This yr my tomatoes will be going in the front of the house where they will be blocked off from the wind as it really gets too windy n cool at night.
