Never mind I will get to see in the USA one day and that will be much better than any show here. I kissed seeing Lyndsay Buckingham in NY one year because we went to Vegas first to see Cher I tossed up between the two and it was easier going to vegas for two nights then fly to NY and then go back to Vegas for a week later on and can you believe it we checked in to Ceasars and went down the street come back and there was a not under our door her show was cancelled as she was sick, if only I did it the other way and went to NY first. just was not meant to be.

You should go, we love it we go every year usually for 10 days but now we have cut the weeks down we are coming we wont go for as long, but I will miss it.

Vegas is great. I can't wait to go back. Our favorite is Planet Hollywood because it is pretty much in the middle of the strip and has a great view of the fountains at Bellagio if your room is on the right side.

Well that's it!!! I will have to plan a trip then... Has anyone stayed at the Mandarin Orange? It got great reviews on TripAdvisor, and they don't have a casino which suits me fine!!! LOL

To be honest I have never heard of it. I like casinos myself but that is not what our primary purpose is when we go there. We usually hit the various hotels and get the free money the usually give you with their player cards and just spend it and not our cash. Our main reason for going it just to relax, catch a show or two, some shopping and to eat good food at places we don't have around here. Next time we go though we won't be staying in a hotel as I have an uncle that just retired there and we will be staying at his place.

SWEET!!! My sister-in-laws parents just moved outside of Vegas, but they can see the strip from their house. I may have to hit them up for a weekend!!! I don't mind the gambling, but I couldn't sit there for HOURS watching our life savings go down the drain...LOL I would love to see the shows... what have you guys seen?

Don't ever by show tickets at the show box office. There are dozens of half price show ticket stalls all over the strip. I am like you. We set a limit of $100 a day for each of us and we rarely use it because we are more interested in people watching and the food. Believe it or not there is a ton of free stuff to do while you are there and Fremont Street at night is a blast.

I love Steely Dan, too. and I'm a huge Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks fan as well.
I heard about this CD a few years ago on NPR: Within & Without by Washed out. I know it sounds weird but this guy took songs from the 80's and blended the music along with some vocals and, IMHO, turned it into a really cool, relaxing cd. Check it out.

Now we don't stay in the casinos we stay at Marriott Grand Chateau it is very nice and next door to Planet Hollywood and straight behind Harley Davidson café they are villas and have everything full kitchen, spa and daily service just suits us better as we stay for 10 days and with living out of a suitcase for 7 weeks you really need to have some home comforts like your own washing machine dryer etc. We have seen Elton John, Celine Dion (I had to go two years in a row to see her so good) Cher, Moody Blues, Jimmy Buffett, Bette Midler, and one day I will see Fleetwood mac in Vegas I will have to fly over when they are there as I reckon would be great to see them at Caesars palace. When we went to see Elton John we were sitting behind Rosanne (I cant think of her surname she had just married another woman at the time) Bill Medly from the Righteous Brothers and Ben Stiller and his wife so yeah that was show in itself along with all the weirdos that go :D
