URGENT!!! Just got a English Bulldog

I'm glad the vet was able to give you some answers, and hopefully he will continue to improve in your care. You are great to give this Little guy a new loving home, and a new start.

We have a name for him now "RHINO" and we took him to the vet and he has nerve damage in his anal region so we have to put ointment on him, we have to put pampers on him or he will poop everywhere he may always have this problem but hopefully not his backend is raw looking and when the doc put his finger in him. EWWWWW, Rhino didn't even feel it is so hopefully in 2 months or so he will feel much better. He also had mange so he's on medicine for that to so that could also be the problem, so he is in good hands now. We are trying to bring this fellow back in to shape....

I can't even say the things I'm feeling right now...I am glad you've taken
Rhino in and gotten a dx, will be praying it resolves itself.

Lisa desertskybulldogs...is a breeder here and says medicated Gold Bond
Powder works best for chapped, raw butts...heals them right up.

Keeping y'all in prayer~GOD bless!

Yes gold bond really helped over desitin, I sure hope you get some answers and find out.

Poor little guy. It sounds like he is in good hands now thank goodness he found you. I hope he starts to feel better soon, and please keep us updated on his status.

Now what is giving us a problem is potty training because he cant feel in his back end. This going to be a challenge. And also today he looks like he feels better because he is running around and messing with the cat. lol

Once the boy gets some GOOD food, and nutrition, he will feel alot better. It will certainly be difficult to "potty" train him-if not impossible, due to nerve damage. The diapers will be necessary. Once he gets GOOD nutrition, when he adjust to it, the pooping should be firm, and he hopefully will not get so sore. It is great of you to care for Rhino!! My vet also recommends Gold Bond powder.

Gold Bond is like duct tape. It can take care of many things :)

Rhino.jpg This is Rhino he has cherry eye because when we went to the bath i think water went in it, the vet said their is nothing to be worried about. He looks so cute in his pamper. LOL

Wow, Zach...my Dad's last post was Ft Hood, he retired in 1969.

I live in Waco now, about an hour from you :) Don't get out much,
Mother lives with me and is in latter stages of Alzheimer's. Once I
bring in a nurse, hopefully can do more for me. Maybe we can get
our bullies together then :)

Rhino is lucky you've saved him and I hope his damage repairs itself.
Once he settles in to your home you can get him on a schedule.

Hopefully, someone dealing with same issue will give you pointers/tips.
GOD bless!

Wow my dad is stationed here at Ft. Hood and also my brother, one day we need to meet. And get our Bully's together.....

Great job! You are going to be telling us all what to do soon. Thank you for saving Rhino

He is looking a lot better today, and i have a question about his cherry eye can you just massage his upper eye to put it back in. I just wanted to know because the doctor said it is nothing to worry about but it is bothering me. lol

The word cherry eye is underlined in your message, click under cherry eye and it will direct you to what you need to know and do about his cherry eye. Rhino is so Precious, he has found a great Dad in you, Rhino is Lucky, he will be all better soon will your Care and Love. Susan
