This was totally unplanned and a meant to be /stars aligned situation...
Meet Cubby our new family member . He is 10 months old and 14 lbs of shear energy and loves to cuddle. Cheli is SLOWLY warming up to him, he has corrected him a few times, but Cubby is determined to be best buds. They will get there, it took Cheli two full weeks to accept Lambeau when he came home, so I'm thinking it will be at least that before Cheli says "ok, you can stay".
We are friends with a breeder and went to drop something to them, we met their full pack for the first time and Cubby was so docile sitting off on his own. As we are meeting all the dogs and getting names, I asked what is that little guy's name (pointing to Cubby) as Lewis is picking him up. Ian responds, "oh, that is Mush.". Lewis and I melt.... as all of you know, that was Lambeau's nickname. Well, two weeks later Mush is now Cubby with the nickname of mini-mush. Although, he is no longer that much of a mush, he is a true frenchie in energy, being a clown and gotta be in the middle of everything. Ian has an alpha female so I think Cubby knew his place and did not step out of line due to her.
