you can't get witch hazel? How about on the internet?

I got witch hazel. I've cleaned him with that already. I don't know what smells worse his butt or the witch hazel lol is the witch hazel enough?

[MENTION=7831]TubbysMom[/MENTION] Witch Hazel does not kill yeast. It's good for cleaning because of it's self drying properties, but you need something else for the infection. I'm really surprised you need a script for this stuff.. wow.. But if that's what you need, get to a vet immediately. You don't want it getting worse.

I msged one of the other members on here that live in the same city ish as us and she said I could get chlorhexidine solution at wal mart so I'm off to check there. If not Tubbs is off to our friends vet. They have a bully too.

How's Tubby's tail doing, Stephanie? Hopefully better!

Seems good. I've been cleaning it. Can't find anything with chlorhexidine but I have cleaned it with witch hazel and put some canestean on it and it looks great. The smells gone too which is great. Worst part of it is for me having to talk to the pharmacists telling them that it's for my dog not me LOL all 3 pharmacists I've talked to have asked has he gone to the vet and I automatically respond no I know what I'm dong albeit thanks to my EBN family

We'll never thought I'd say this but Canada sucks!!! All of the products listed are unavailable here and apparently anything with chlorahmexidine requires a prescription.
I found the bully vet specialist in Toronto so I'm gonna give them a ring and see if they can guide to something. Thank you for your input tubby, me and his tush are very grateful

hi there, I'm in Toronto too. i just ordered chlorhexidine from the pharmacist for like $5. its called stanhexidine. they might have one in stock. i also got chlor.. gluconate 20% to dilute myself. also $5
i never told him it was for my dog hehe. it took one day to get into shoppers. i also used dettol wash diluted in the tub. its chlorhexidine xylenol and over the counter. it is strong smelling!

annex area downtown. i didn't need a prescription! its just soap!! Dupont and spadina is my store, should i order one for you?? $5 was the Pharm cost, honestly my hubby picked it up but they can't mark it up too much. whatever i pay whatever for my dog hah

That would be awesome. PM the details an I would be happy to meet you and pay. Every pharmacist kept telling me it was mouth wash and quite frankly I don't think Tubbs would appreciate that on his tush lol

Our yogi had a deep, almost impacted tail, get this on occasion after a bath if we don't well enough. Clean with a baby wipe and then put a&d ointment on your finger and wipe out in there. It will heal it. Might have to do with twice to clear it up.
