We're about to purchase our first ever bully, and we were wondering what the ideal temperature in the house should be. We live in Southeast Texas, and when we're home we usually keep the AC on about 68, but when we're away, we usually push it up to 70.

DTYoung2383 The temps you set sound just about right! :welcome4:to you and your new baby!!

when we're at work, he'll be in a crate in a dim lit room. I had thought about turning the ceiling fan on low during the day time to get a little more air flow but was worried about drying his eyes out.

We are in Houston and keep ours at 73 during the day and 68 at night and Monty is just fine. Our fan is always on in the bedroom where he sleeps. If you cover his crate and leave one side uncovered facing away fom the fan, he should be fine too if you are worried about that. Monty is in the utility room when we are out which is light but no direct sun.

We keep our house between 68-70 all year long (heat or AC) and the pups are crated in the basement (finished.. they live well... stinkers) when we are not at home

I live in Central Texas so a bit more humidity than SW Texas.

Cami is comfortable with 68* in hottest months, July, August, September
and all other months, 72* with overhead fans on, starts panting at 76/78*.

Congratulations on new bully, post lots of pics, please!
