I applied for a scholarship through the Nurses Organization of Veteran Affairs recently. I had to write three 350 word essays on how I would use my degree to improve the VA and such. I am the winner of a $3000 scholarship for my nurse practitioner degree. Not sure how many people I competed against but all VA nurses that belong to NOVA nation wide can apply. 2 other different scholarships were given but I am representing the West Coast!! I can live with $1000 an essay!!
