How to turn picture?

Hi! Quick question:
When I post a picture on a contest or try to add a profile picture, it is always turned sideways. I cannot figure out how to make it upright. Can anyone help me out?

I find that if I resize it (even just a tiny bit) it appears right side up.
I had the same problem!

Sometimes ... it is a setting on the phone, you can make it to 'right side photos when uploading'

well i did what Hceril said and that worked... on my phone, i selected the pic i wanted, hit edit, squished it a tiny bit and this came out. pretty weird if ya ask me. lol ... Now i wonder how do others,,, with iphones get these nice larger pics

Yes, it is a phone thing-- the site is more set up to be pc or internet friendly not mobile friendly. So however your pc sees the photo is how our site will see it. Even now on Windows 10 I cannot just rotate it, I have to edit, rotate and then save. Same as mobile. With windows 8 and below a simple rotate did the trick!
