Hello there,
Today I have been a little emotional, and I was thinking that my max will turn 9 years old soon. I started feeling so sad about this, so i am asking you guys how old is your bully and if any has or had had a bully older than 12?

Jax, my French Bulldog, will be 11 in April, Louie will be 7 in February, Ella turned 4 in November and Darla is 1.

I know how you feel as every time I think of Louie turning 7, I get sad. It feels like he was just 2!

Frankie on the left (first two pictures) is 1 1/2 and Bella just turned 7 last month. They are un seperable.
We are first time bulldog owners, too! And we have actually already been thinking about how old Bella is. Omg..... I can't even imagine.
Luckily they are both pretty healthy and active. We sure do love these two to the moon and back!

All of our Bulldogs have been rescues with the exception of Naggy. She was our first.
We share the sadness you feel knowing that we will likely outlive all of my crew as we've done for many Bulldogs over the past 25 years. The average lifespan(9.333) for our guys has increased slightly over the years even including MINI, who had Megaesophagus and passed very early in life.
The only thing I can offer that may temper the sadness of what we all know is coming...
When one passes away, it makes room for another in need. I encourage everyone to please consider a rescue when that time comes. There are many out there that need us.
Max is very cute. As he gets older, it's very important to keep him lean. Keeping his weight on the low end of a healthy weight can add years to his life. Extra weight is tough on the heart, lungs, and joints.
Merry Christmas!

We’ve seen many bullies in here past 12. I recall a few was 14. 👍

Porkchop was 13 when he passed under the guidance of the vet. His health was compromised with a neurological injury so that his back legs gave out on him slowly. If it hadn't been for that, I think he would have lived longer.

Definitely. Sadly we can’t control destiny cause I sure would have reversed bringing Duke to that useless emergency vet. We now have Jake n you have beautiful Tebow. ❤️

Tank is 7, and I will be lost when he's gone.
Keep him 'slim', walk him daily and Tank may surprise you with more time than average. My vets were surprised that Porkchop lived to 13 years & attributed it to his healthy weight and exercise.
When I started looking for another some months later, I met up with a good breeder at a dog show. She was showing some really nice dogs. I asked if she knew of anyone with puppies. She asked about my experience with EB's, I told her Porkchop passed at 13. She then told me that she had a litter due soon. That Pork lived so long and that I had taken good care with him, good vet recommendations, she blessed me with one of that litter. (She doesn't sell to just anyone.)
