How old is too old to spay/neuter?

Awesome!

With respect to the cherry eye, most vets won't even offer removing the gland anymore because it is considered inhumane and, as another poster pointed out, can cause a myriad of other problems, including dry eye, which is very irritating for the dog and will likely have you buying eye drops for the rest of the dog's life that will amount to another surgery to tack the gland back in. Also, if you choose to have the gland tacked back in, call around, I've found a great variance in price and expertise amongst the vets in my area.
