We lost Rosie a year ago at 12 years
We lost Rocco 13 years ago. He was 5 and had a steroid shot for an ear infection. He died 3 hours later.
The newest member of our family is Ruby. She just turned 6 mos.(born Jan. 20). She is currently a whopping 48 lbs. Her mother is a normal 60lbs. but her father is every bit of 75. We have had her for 3 weeks now.
We are excited to have her, but she is so skittish and afraid of strangers. She still cowers when I walk in the room. However, she has no fear of other dogs and her best friend lives 1 block away and just happens to be her 14 month old sister(same father). Notable physical features: She has 5" long straight tail and her body is a tad long.

[MENTION=12285]boxorox[/MENTION] to you and your family. Both of your dogs were beautiful, as is Ruby! Maybe Ruby was not socialized much while still with her mom? I wish my dogs WERE a little more cautious! I have one who has a tail like Ruby. She can wag it-and I call it her "happy tail"! At least she will not have the problems that many have with tight tails! Best of luck with your gal! If any of mine DO get scared of something, I just tell them that they are so silly, and I don't make a big deal of it.
