Hello from Mattie and me

Hi. I've been wanting a dog for years now, and a bulldog has always been on top of my list. After lots of searching around, I found Sadie Lou (now named Mattie) after a lucky search on petfinder. It looks like she's been adopted a few times (by the same shelter), but has been returned at least twice for being too rough.

I've had her for about 3 weeks and we're doing great. Her shot records show that she is 3 1/2 years old. She's happy, playful, and has adjusted to the new home almost instantly. She does have some bad habits (barking/chasing other dogs, soft biting, etc.) but nothing that can't be corrected over time. She walks great on a leash (until she sees another dog or God forbid a cat), she's crate trained, potty trained, and knows a few basic commands. She loves to lick and will saturate you if you let her.

She has a few medical issues (which I'll probably post in the health thread a bit later), but the vet and I are working to clear those up. All in all, we couldn't be happier with each other.

GOD bless you for adopting her and overlooking her (few) flaws and fixing
the health issues. I also adopted a 3-5 y/o bully for my 1st bully and he was
bully perfection. He had several owners before me but as there was nothing
wrong w/Brutus, it had to be them! So many people get bullies that have no
idea WHAT time, care & money it takes to keep them healthy & happy.

Mattie's eyes have that same mischievous look that Brutus had-she's beautiful!
