Right on! Thanks for the heads up, this is a must watch.

Great catch, Jim. I love how the Vet looks like he's 'fishing' down Trouble's
throat and the Vet's name is Dr Trout...too cool! Gonna watch mine at 10pm, Central

Thanks Jim. I have it set to record.

DAMMIT JIM I don't have HBO… Ugh :hissycry:

It was interesting..not focusing specifically on bulldog palate surgery...more of a 20minute segment on how man has changed the breed standard of many purebred dogs over the years to win shows and competitions at the expense of their health. The english bulldog being the poster child for breeding gone awry.
There was a great article last year in the NY Times called "can The English Bulldog be Saved" that addressed the same thing. A higher value is being placed on the appearance as opposed to its well being.

I read that NY article, it was well written, unbiased & very thought provoking.
Thanks for your review, of HBO segment~Love you <3

If any of you want to watch and can download the HBO Go app, i'll give you my log in so you can watch it, just PM me. It's not up just yet, usually it's 24 hrs after it airs.

It looks interesting...Thanks!

hmmm i hope they put it on demand so maybe i can watch it that way!

That's exactly what it was and that's the big reason I think so many bullys are in rescues all over the country. This is the link to the times article if anyone needs it.

I finally watched this last night. It was so fascinating and the response from akc was sad and hilarious. It's a must watch, not just for the bulldogs, but for all breeds.
