Steam mop would work great on Lino or tile-- just not wood floors. I am going to try some of your suggestions! Thanks!

I have Pergo laminate and I use the Swiffer wet jet..... no streaks = nice and shiney. I use the steam mop on my kitchen linoleum (which I HATE) and tile... works well.

my boyfriend has pergo and they are fantastic with the dogs...they slide across those bad boys and their nails don't damage them at all. his floors also don't streak...we windex to clean and done...part of the reason is that they look like old wood with grooves and nixs...
i have to say my first steam mop broke in the first year i had it...i called and they had me ship it and they ended up sending me a brand new one because they couldn't fix it...customer service was fabulous.
gonna try some of the suggestions and will get back to everyone on what the results are.
