It was mine for a long time. Now I teach and don't have mandatory overtime. But the short breaks and under appreciation are still there! Oh, and summers off? Nope.

It's "illegal" in ny state to mandate nurses butttttt if ur relief doesn't show up u took an oath to do no harm n leaving is considered abandonment so it's a loophole lol I'm just hoping in honor of nurses week none of my residents decide to throw themselves on the floor :D I can dream can't I lol!!!!

Thank you, Sandra! I know I speak for the other nurses here when I say I am very proud of our profession and the work that we do. We all worked very hard to get where we are--7 years of education and 20 years of experience for me. I wonder what the collective number of years of experience is here on EBN. I bet it's impressive!
